Iron Everywhere!

I finally finished The Iron Daughter and I must say the way the book ended, for me, reminded me of say a last book ending not one that hits in the middle of a series!

Our love triangle is still there in this book – who does she pick Puck or Ash?  While the Iron fae are out to do what they do best – be the bad guys and try to rule the realm.   This time around her brother is safe and sound (or is he) at home with her mom and step father and it's the NeverNever that is in need of saving.

I must say my favorite part of the book was when the gang (plus and minus one person) end up in the between.  Finding the Exiled Queen and her… minions? was really interesting and to meet a few new characters along the way was really interesting.  Of course there is someone there we already know about but cannot quite place him.

I am looking forward to reading the third book in the series The Iron Queen as the ending to this book totally shocked me.

I would say this series almost reminds me of another series I would recommend which would be the Faeire Walker series (Glimmer Glass, Shadow Spell and The Siren Song all by Jenna Black).

I really could not put this book down in my spare time and I am sure you will find The Iron Daughter to be as much a page turner as it was for me.

Now on to the next book….

Iron Faeries

Well what have I managed to come across other than a creepy setting?  I would say a very good read.  The characters (Puck, Ash and Meghan) really jump out of the page for me.  Of course there are other characters but these main three characters are both lovable and hateful at the same time.

We start with a plain, young highschool girl (Meghan) who cannot escape bullies.  Her best friend being the boy next door (Puck) enters her into a world unknown after her little brother is taken into the Nevernever.  Enter the evil (or is he?) Ash, Winter Faerie to Puck, the Summer Faerie.   Thus we have our lover's triangle.

Next we have the unknowing Summer half-ling Faerie with lots of power but unsure of how to use it, a sidekick cat, and tons of bad guys made of Iron after the three main characters.

The real questions are who does she pick? How does her journey go and end?  Does she discover her power in the end?  Does she discover the real reason her brother is being held captive?

Only these questions can be answered when you read the book.  Well worth the price and time and it truly is a page turner until the very end.

Now I am on to the next book in the series....

Mermaids and the Faeries

So I just finished reading Forgive my Fins and Fins are Forever by Tera Childs and I was impressed. The characters captivated my imagination and I wished this place Tera created in these novels really existed.  I also wish mermaids truly existed so I could breathe underwater (with a drowning fear being in the water is hard for me). All I would need is a tattoo like Quincy and then pow - I could swim underwater too. (sorry spoiler).

I do recommend picking these two novels up.  You won't be able to put them down.  Also super exciting is the fact that the author has announced that there will be a third novel in this series!  I have no idea where she will take us this time but I know it will be worth the wait.

I also just received my next mermaid novel to read in the future that I ordered from Chapters.Indigo.ca like forever ago (two weeks ago)! So excited to read it but first Faeries call....

So far the above book that I am reading is creepy - hence I love it! I own all the books in this series and I cannot wait to read them all.  I see another page turner and another place I wish existed, as sometime the real world sucks.

To anyone who is reading this feel free to friend me or add me - I would like to get to know everyone that is actually following along my book quest to finish all the books I own that are almost starting to overflow from my small bedroom.

Books

Hi, my name is Emelie, I am 26 years old and love to read... a lot! I have a goodreads.com page that lists all the books I own and have yet to read and let me tell you - there is more than 300 books in that list of mine.  I have read a lot of books this year and I will list the few that I found I could just read over and over again and also just could not put the book down.

Siren by Tracy Rayburn (and it's sequel)
Everblue by Brenda Pandos
Forgive my Fins by Tere Lynn Childs
Lost in Time by Melissa de la Cruz (blue blood series)

These are just a few books I could name off the top of my head.  I will come back and update this list as I have more time.

Any how thanks for dropping by and I hope to hear from you soon.
